Let me introduce myself. My name is Gene Trent. I have been enjoying the art of photography for many, many decades. I love taking pictures today just as much as I did when I started. My love of capturing images stems from my grandfather who was our family's avid family photographer. He documented just about every moment of our family events and history.
My favorite type of photography is taking candid shots on the streets of the city as well as travel and jazz photography. To me, travel photography is a combination of all types of photography from portrait to landscapes to street to architectural. It's all good to me. Jazz photography is the perfect combination of my love of jazz music, jazz musicians and photography. Listening to good jazz and making images at the same time is close to heaven.
Commercially, I enjoy shooting Event photography of all types. I have been doing event photography for well over a decade now. I shoot in the documentary style of photography which is to observe the happenings and capture the essence of the event by capturing the "decisive moment". Candid photography helps to capture the true atmosphere the moment and each photo tells a story.
